Children and Youth
 
Children:  Nursery: (6 weeks through 3years) 9:00 am – Noon. We offer a Nursery Ministry during both Worship Services and Sunday School. We provide a safe, loving environment that allows parents to attend worship and Sunday School classes without the distraction of caring for children. All staff who work with children are CPR certified and have also had background checks.
 
Children’s Church:  (4years – 3rd grade) During the 11 o’clock worship service, children are dismissed immediately following the children’s sermon to attend their own age appropriate worship service.
 
Sunday School:  (6th – 12th Grades) 10:00am. Meets upstairs in the L.O.F.T. During the months of January and February, the students will be studying “The Jesus-Centered Life”.
 
Weekday PMO, Preschool, and Kindergarten:  Brooks UMC offers a Parent’s Morning Out, Preschool, and Kindergarten program during the week, Monday – Thursday from 9:00am – 1:00pm. A Beka curriculum is utilized as well as arts and crafts, social skills learning, Spanish, and Bible Stories.
 
Club 567:  (5th, 6th, 7th grades) Wednesdays, 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Club 567 is a fun youth fellowship program for preteens. Students meet together for a fellowship meal from the Snack Bar, a large group Bible lesson, Small groups, and games. During the month of January, the students will be studying the life of Joseph.
 
Youth 8:12:  (8th – 12th grades) Sundays, 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Youth 8:12 is a student fellowship ministry in which students enjoy a meal from the Snack Bar, a Large Group teaching time, as well as Small Group and a fun fellowship activity . Adult Ministries
 
Student Ministry:  College and Careers Sunday School Class: 10:00am Students who are College aged meet during the Sunday School hour for topical Bible discussions.
 
Abundant Life Class:   Adam Hamilton’s Final Word from the Cross — Despite the serious effort and increased pain required for Jesus to speak as he hung on the cross, Jesus spoke 7 “final words”- statements that have much to teach us about Jesus, his Father, and ourselves. Join us Sunday mornings at 10am in the Mission and Ministry Building room 106 as these final words are explored from the perspective of those who stood near the cross.
 
Wesley Class:  The lesson’s commentary comes from Cokesbury, and is based on the International Sunday School Lessons. Each lesson on a scripture is a stand alone lesson from either New Testament or Old Testament. Adult Bible Studies is designed to help adults understand the meaning and authority of the Bible for Christian life. This is generally our older adult class. Meets Sunday mornings am 10am in room 100.
 
Seekers Sunday School Class:  Galatians: Myths about Christianity Bring your Bible and join as the topics of PRIORITIES, PERSPECTIVE, and PERSEVERANCE are discussed by joining Paul and the Galatians in studying the one true Gospel, the law in the New Testament, freedom in Christ, and living out our daily walk in the Spirit. Meets Sunday mornings at 10am in room 100A.
 
Women’s Bible Study:  This is a new study group that will be lead by experienced teacher Linda Stanton. The study will be on 1st John. Meetings will begin on Monday January 27th. This group will be designed for sharing, encouraging, and growing in Christ. Please contact Linda if you are interested.
   
United Faith and Fitness at Brooks UMC
 
Weight Watchers Meetings:  Tuesday: 7:00pm or Wednesday: 9:00am. Our singular mission is to help people lose weight in a sustainable way by helping them adopt a healthier lifestyle and a healthier relationship with food and activity. (Room 100).
 
Zumba:  Tuesday: 6:30 pm and Saturday 9:30am. A Latin-inspired dance/fitness program that mixes dance and aerobics with high energy music.
 
R.I.P.P.E.D.:  Monday: 6:30pm and Thursday: 6:30pm. Experience this total body "plateau proof fitness formula" workout, utilizing resistance and cardio training, which masterfully combines Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometric, Endurance, and Diet to help you attain and maintain your physique in ways that are fun, safe, doable and extremely effective .
 
Group Personal Training:  Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00am. Individual exercise plans are prescribed for each participant to improve strength, flexibility, muscle tone and core conditioning. Great for all fitness levels.
 
Yoga:  Tuesday & Thursday at 10:00am. This class can increase flexibility, muscle strength, as well as breathing and relaxation techniques.
 
Tai Chi:  Tuesday 7:45pm - 9:30pm. Uses gentle flowing movements to reduce the stress of today’s busy lifestyles and improve health. Participants focus on range of motion, breathing, and relaxation.
 
Ageless Grace®:  Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00am. A chair exercise program that any age can do. Great for Seniors! 21 Tools are utilized to address brain health and aging factors such as range of motion, joint mobility, and balance. (Room 100).
 
Dance:  Saturdays 7:00 pm - 9:00pm. A great date night event! Two instructors will work with you each week. No partner required. Learn the Three-Count Hustle in April!
